Char Dham Yatra Offline Registration to Begin April 17; CDO Reviews Prepration in Rishikesh
Rishikesh, — Offline registration for the Char Dham Yatra 2025 will commence on April 17 at 5:00 AM, with 24 counters to be operational at the Yatra Transit Camp in Rishikesh and six additional counters at the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT). Four counters will also be set up at Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib, and mobile teams will be deployed to hotels and ashrams to assist pilgrims with on-site registration.
The announcement came during a preparatory meeting held Thursday at the Char Dham Yatra Transit Camp, chaired by Chief Development Officer (CDO) Abhinav Shah. The CDO reviewed arrangements across the Yatra routes, seeking status updates on electricity, water, sanitation, accommodation, and security.
He directed the Jal Sansthan, PWD, Municipal Corporation, Energy Corporation, and Health Department to complete all preparations before the Yatra begins, warning that no negligence would be tolerated.
To ensure pilgrim comfort, the Transit Camp premises will feature three German hangers and tent facilities as resting areas. Display screens providing real-time weather updates and travel information will also be installed — a responsibility assigned to the Municipal Corporation. The CDO also issued directives for effective crowd and traffic management along the Yatra routes.
Online registration for the Yatra is already underway.
The meeting was attended by SP (Rishikesh) Jaya Baloni, Municipal Commissioner Gopal Ram Binwal, SDM Yogesh Mehra, CO Neeraj Semwal, Energy Corporation EE Shakti Prasad, CMS Dr. Anand Singh Rana, ARTO (Administration) Rawat Singh Kataria, ARTO (Enforcement) Rashmi Pant, OSD (Yatra Administration) Dr. Prajapati Nautiyal, Ranger GS Dhamanda, Supply Inspector Sunil Devli, and others.
