In a thoughtful initiative aimed at supporting sanitation and administrative staff during the rainy season, Municipal Council President Neelam Bijalwan distributed raincoats to environment workers and office personnel on Monday. The distribution event took place at the Municipal Auditorium.
Speaking on the occasion, President Neelam Bijalwan emphasized her commitment to maintaining cleanliness across the city. “Keeping the city clean and hygienic is our foremost responsibility. During the monsoon, our environment friends face significant challenges while carrying out cleaning duties. To ease their work conditions, we have provided raincoats to all environment workers and office staff,” she said.
The initiative was well received by the workers and was supported by various officials present at the event, including Executive Officer Ankita Joshi, Junior Engineer Sachin, Tax Superintendent Anuradha Goyal, Chief Assistant Betal Singh, Cleaning Inspector In-Charge Kailash Chandra Semwal, Tax Inspector Akash Agarwal, Accountant Vivek Bhandari, Clerk Sanjay Bhandari, Supervisor Jitendra Singh Sajwan, and many others such as Suraj Pundir, Anuj, Akash Kaintura, Vikas Semwal, Sandeep Bisht, Kedar Mishrawan, Akash Kudiyal, Cleaning Supervisor Raju, Maya Ram, Mahipal, Babu Singh, Manoj, and Mukul.
This step is part of the council’s broader efforts to ensure the well-being of its frontline workers and to keep the city resilient and clean, even in adverse weather conditions.
