Rishikesh, July 23 – The second day of the ten-day annual function organized by Shri Ramayan Prachar Samiti at Shri Tulsi Manas Mandir saw an inspiring discourse by Katha Vyas Swami Gopalacharya Maharaj, who emphasized the spiritual and moral strength derived from listening to the sacred Ram Katha.
Swami Gopalacharya Maharaj, the successor of Jagadguru Uttarakhand Peethadheeshwar Swami Krishnacharya Maharaj, stated that simply listening to the life and deeds of Lord Shri Ram generates positive energy within individuals. “Societal progress is possible only by walking on the path shown by the Satguru,” he remarked.
the Ramayana composed by Goswami Tulsidas, Swami Gopal Acharya explained that Tulsidas ji presented the values and character of Lord Ram in a simple, heartfelt language that resonates with the common people even today.
“In Ramcharitmanas, Lord Ram has been portrayed as an ideal king, son, husband, and friend,” he said. “This sacred text leads us toward truth, righteousness, love, and devotion. Tulsidas ji aimed to unify society through the Ramayana, delivering messages that transcend caste and class divisions — messages that remain just as relevant in modern times.”
