Learning from the elderly

Under the public awareness program, a free medical camp was organized at Arya Vanaprastha Ashram, Haridwar. It was told that the food habits and lifestyle of the elderly living here impressed the health experts. Sharing their experiences, the doctors involved in the medical camp said that during this time they found that the elderly eat traditional, simple food and remain active. Also, the senior citizens living here are mentally healthier than others. This inspires us that simple and balanced food is the key to staying healthy for a long time.
