SDRF Commander Manikant Mishra did surprise inspection of Rishikesh check post today
Commander SDRF did a surprise inspection of Rishikesh post, briefed the water police and SDRF team.
On 05 July 2024, Commander, SDRF Shri Manikant Mishra did a surprise inspection of the SDRF team’s post Dhalwala. In view of the monsoon, the SDRF team and the water police personnel were briefed and given detailed instructions, he asked the SDRF teams to work with caution on the sensitive ghats of Rishikesh. He instructed to take necessary action to immediately evacuate the ghats in view of the safety of the general public in case of heavy rains.
Apart from this, he asked the team in-charge to take necessary action to keep the flood relief material and rescue equipment in working condition. Along with this, he told the SDRF and Water Police teams to make the general public aware through loud hailer.
During this time, in view of monsoon, the commander, SDRF made the following appeal to the general public:-
◆ There may be a sudden increase in the water level of the river and rain drains. So do not go to such places.
◆ Due to heavy rains, there is a fear of landslides and rock falls at sensitive places, so stay away from such places.
◆ Never go to the river bank where there is police barricading or warning sign boards.
◆ Do not park your vehicles near the river, ghat, canal etc. during monsoon.
On this occasion, Shivirpal Shri Rajiv Rawat and Dhalwala SDRF team in-charge Shri Kavindra Sajwan along with local police and water police personnel were present on the spot.
