The fourth day of the ongoing International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh was named after Douglas Atmanand Rexford. Douglas mainly explained about Ashtanga Yoga in detail to yoga practitioners from all over the world. Douglas explained the eight yogas of yoga in detail. Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi were understood and explained in detail today. The Ashtanga form of yoga was propounded by Maharishi Patanjali.
Yoga practitioners were especially waiting for the fifth day of the International Yoga Festival, because Douglas was mainly present to explain the eight rules of yoga. Douglas said that everyone in the world wants happiness and peace. Whatever work a person does, its sole aim is to attain happiness. Everyone in the world talks about happiness and peace and keeping this purpose in mind, the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded every year to some respected person. To attain peace, different things are done in different ways. Douglas told that but through Ashtanga Yoga propounded by Maharishi Patanjali, peace of mind is achieved and if every person achieves this then peace can be established in the world.
Earlier in the morning, as usual, various asanas of the Commission were taught. After that meditation happened. After this it was the turn of Swami Bodhi Prashant. The importance of Laughter Yoga was explained by Swami Bodhi Present. Bodhi currently explains how Laughter Yoga can prove helpful in relieving physical and mental suffering.
After the completion of the Yug program, Kirtan program was organized by Art of Living, after this the future Aarti of Maa Ganga was done like daily and finally live performance was given by Swaraj Band which entertained all the devotees.
During this, Robert Wofford, Michael Table, Tim Jones, Dennis Longer, Martin Simpoon, Kanha Gaur were also present.
