After the increase in pollution levels in many cities of Northern India, the number of devotees and tourists coming to the pilgrimage city on weekends had reduced significantly. A large number of devotees and tourists from Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal reached the pilgrimage city. From Brahmamuhurta, people start gathering for bathing at the Ganga Ghats like Triveni Ghat, Purnanand Ghat, Dayanand Ashram Ghat, Parmarth Niketan Ghat, Vanprastha Ghat, Geeta Bhavan Ghat, Shri Lakshminarayan Ghat, Shri Shatrughan Ghat, Sai Ghat, Sant Seva Ghat, Swargashram Chowk Ghat etc. They went. After nine in the morning, there was no space left to even set foot on the Ganga ghats. The devotees first took bath and offered prayers. After this, food and donations were given to Brahmins and monks.
