Tempo traveller fell down in Rudraprayag, SDRF reach on spots

Tempo traveler vehicle falling into a deep gorge in Gholtir area of Rudraprayag district, police force and SDRF teams from police station Agastyamuni, Ratuda and Gochar were immediately dispatched to the spot.
According to preliminary information, the vehicle was going up from Rudraprayag, which went out of control and fell into the river. Rescue teams started immediate relief and rescue work and some injured were safely evacuated and sent to the hospital for treatment. The body of one person has also been recovered, while the search and rescue operation of other persons is going on.
Teams of SDRF, police force, and local administration are engaged in relief work in a coordinated manner at the spot. The entire operation is being conducted under the supervision of senior officers.
The district police appeals to the general public to please maintain patience and do not believe any kind of misleading or unconfirmed information.
Rescue Update: Tempo Traveller vehicle accident in Gholthir area of Rudraprayag district
According to the information received so far, a total of 19 people including the driver are said to be travelling in the said vehicle. In a joint rescue operation conducted by SDRF, DDRF, local police and other rescue agencies, so far 08 passengers have been rescued and sent to Rudraprayag Hospital. Bodies of 02 dead have been recovered, search for the remaining 09 people is ongoing.
