Arogyadham Retreat & Wellness, Rishikesh recently organised a specialised wellness retreat for personnel of the Indian Army, integrating the classical disciplines of Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda to support the holistic well-being of serving soldiers.
The retreat was conducted under the expert guidance of VaidyaRatnam Dr. Rakesh Agarwal, AyurvedaAcharya, BAMS (Delhi University), who shared practical Ayurvedic home remedies, preventive health tips, and offered complementary Ayurveda consultations addressing the specific physical and psychological challenges associated with military service.
Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj and Dr. Arjun Raj facilitated sessions in Yoga and Meditation, providing participants with tools for stress management, mental resilience, and physical recovery — disciplines increasingly recognised as vital complements to conventional healthcare in high-stress professions.
The initiative reflects a growing commitment to the Body, Mind & Soul well-being of India’s armed forces personnel, offering them access to time-tested traditional wellness systems in one of India’s foremost wellness destinations. Organisers expressed hope that such retreats would become a regular feature in the holistic care of military personnel.
