CBSE Toppers Felicitated at Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy; City Topper Ishita Singh Receives ₹80,000 Prize
Rishikesh’s Daughter, City’s Pride: Ishita Singh Honoured with ₹80,000 Cash Prize
When Shabad-Kirtan filled the auditorium of Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy on Sunday morning, it wasn’t just a ceremony beginning — it was a celebration of what discipline, devotion, and determination can achieve.
Rishikesh had reason to hold its head high. Class 12 student Ishita Singh, by scoring a remarkable 98.4 percent in the Arts stream, didn’t just top her school — she became the City Topper for all of Rishikesh and claimed fourth position at the state level, carrying the name of Uttarakhand onto a national platform.
In recognition of this historic achievement, the Most Revered Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj and the institution’s administrator, Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, personally honoured Ishita with a cash prize of ₹80,000, along with a shawl and bouquet — as the auditorium thundered with applause.
The felicitation ceremony, organized to honour outstanding performers in the 2026 CBSE Board examinations along with their proud parents, was a confluence of education, values, and excellence. Students were honoured with shawls, bouquets, mementos, and cash prizes under the divine blessings of the Nirmal Ashram saints.
In Class 12, Shweta Yadav shone bright with 98.2 percent, earning the second position and a cash prize of ₹65,000, while Pritika secured third with 96.8 percent and was honoured with ₹55,000.
The parents of Class 10 toppers — Aradhya Thapliyal (97.6%), Naitik Dabral (97.4%), and Piyush Jha (94.6%) — were also felicitated with shawls, bouquets, and mementos, acknowledging the quiet, steadfast support that families give behind every success.
School Principal Dr. Sunita Sharma and Headmistress Amritpal Dang addressed the gathering with warmth, reminding students that through hard work, discipline, and a positive mindset, no goal remains beyond reach.
The ceremony was more than an event — it was a moment that will stay with every young student present, a reminder that Rishikesh nurtures not just spiritual seekers, but academic achievers too.
