Where the sacred Ganga flows and the Himalayas stand sentinel, the soldiers who guard India’s borders were offered a gift of a different kind — the ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda.
On June 16, 2026, in observance of International Yoga Day, the Arogyadham Retreat and Wellness Center (Tapovan, Amkhala, Rishikesh) organized a special wellness session for the Indian Army at two locations: the serene Neem Beach on the holy banks of the Ganges, and within the Arogyadham campus itself. The theme — “Stress Reduction and Wellness through Yoga, Ayurveda, and Meditation” — spoke directly to the unique physical and mental demands borne by India’s defenders.
World-renowned yoga guru and Ayurvedic physician Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj led immersive sessions covering yogic asanas, mudras, pranayama, and meditation practices — offering participants a holistic toolkit for resilience and inner balance.
Complementing the yogic practices, Vaidyaratna Dr. Rakesh Agrawal spoke on the transformative power of Ayurveda in everyday life — from disciplined dinacharya (daily routines) and mindful diet to the remarkable medicinal properties of humble herbs: flaxseeds, makhana (fox nuts), aloe vera, harsingar (night-flowering jasmine), bay leaf, and hadjod (Cissus quadrangularis) — each a quiet healer hiding in plain sight.
This was not a one-time gesture. For several years, the Arogyadham family has been conducting free wellness sessions for the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and paramilitary forces including the ITBP, SSB, CRPF, and BSF — reaching cities from Dehradun and Delhi to Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Jammu, Udhampur, Amritsar, Chandigarh, and Ambala.
At the event, heartfelt gratitude was expressed toward the Arogyadham family for their sustained, selfless service in the national interest — a true offering of Dev Bhoomi to the nation’s protectors.
