At Gita Ashram, the 34th death anniversary of the Ashram’s founder—the late, revered spiritual master (Brahmaleen Sadgurudev) Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vedvyasanand Saraswati Ji—was observed with deep reverence and devotion. A grand tribute ceremony was organized under the chairmanship of Swami Rasik Ji Maharaj, President of the Sanatan Dharma Parishad (Uttar Pradesh) and a dignitary holding the rank of a Cabinet Minister.
The event was graced by the presence of numerous saints and spiritual leaders, including Brahmachari Keshav Swaroop Ji, Mahant Ravi Prapannacharya, Swami Sarvatmanand Saraswati, Mahant Kanhaiya Das, and Rashtra Sant Yogi Umesh Ji. Many distinguished citizens from the political and social spheres also participated, including Girish Dobhal (Minister of State, Uttarakhand), educationist Ramkrishna Pokhriyal, Trivendra Negi (Mandal President, BJP Laxman Jhula), and Adesh Tomar (President, City Congress Committee).
In his presidential address, Swami Rasik Ji Maharaj stated that Swami Vedvyasanand Saraswati Ji was an extraordinary exponent of the *Gita*, who successfully established its divine message on a global stage. Trust President Dr. Deepak Gupta affirmed that Gurudev’s ideals and resolutions are being continuously advanced through the efforts of the Trust.
On this auspicious occasion, the Ashram hosted an *Akhand Ramcharitmanas* recitation (continuous chanting), *Gita* recitation, a *Yajna* (sacrificial ritual), *Bhajan-Kirtan* (devotional singing), and a grand *Bhandara* (community feast). At the conclusion of the program, a special issue of the magazine *Gita Sandesh*—themed around ‘Yoga and *Purusharth*’ (Human Endeavor)—was formally released. The proceedings of the event were anchored by Bhanu Mitra Sharma.
