Uttarakhand Tourism Representatives Association first meeting held in tapovan Rishikesh Padmasri Ajit Bajaj presence gave guidance to organization
The first meeting of Uttarakhand Tourism Representatives Association (Uttra) was held at Tapovan with inauguration. Padmashree Ajit Bajaj Sir, President of Adventure Tour Operator Association of India was present as a special guest in the meeting. The association has been formed by the tourism businessmen of the state with the aim of uniting tourism businessmen for the betterment of tourism in Uttarakhand, promoting responsible tourism and solving common challenges faced by the industry. It is the priority of Uttra to connect tourism businessmen from all areas of the state in the association. Uttra is committed to responsible tourism and protection of the environment.
The meeting was started with the welcome of guests and members by the Secretary of the Association, Shri Dev Pokhriyal ji. After which, detailed information of the organization was presented to the members by the Vice President, Shri Sunil Rana. In the meeting, the President of the organization, Prashant Maithani, asked all the members to be responsible towards the nature and culture of Uttarakhand along with better business. The meeting was organised by Mr. Anup Jugran.
Padma Shri Ajit Bajaj stressed on sustainable tourism and shared his experiences of starting adventure tourism in Uttarakhand, conquering Everest with his daughter and North Pole. Mr. Bajaj said that Uttarakhand has immense tourism potential and he assured full support to Uttara by Adventure Tour Operator Association of India.
Tourist businessmen from various districts including Corbett, Haldwani, Almora Rudraprayag were present in the meeting.
The office bearers of the organization in the above meeting are as follows:
President – Prashant Maithani, Vice President Sunil Rana, General Secretary Dev Pokhriyal, Treasurer Mahendra Ghildiyal and Joint Secretaries Anup Jugran and Rahul Kumar. Apart from the executive committee, Mr. Subhash Dobhal, Subhash Rana, Alok Upreti, Harish Rawat etc. were present.
