 Internation yog festival starts in Muni ki reti Rishikesh 1 March – 7 March

Rishikesh: The International Yog Festival has commenced at the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Guest House in Muni Ki Reti, near the sacred town of Rishikesh. The event was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal and Param Adhyaksha Swami Chidanand Muni Maharaj of Parmarth Niketan, who lit the lamp to mark the beginning of the festival.

Chief Guest, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, shared that the Yoga Festival is held annually from March 1 to March 7, and this year it will run until March 7. The festival has attracted yoga teachers and practitioners from both India and abroad. The focus this year is on promoting a healthy lifestyle, with special sessions on wellness designed to provide valuable insights to yoga practitioners and trainers. The event underscores the global significance of yoga in achieving holistic well-being.

Department, special arrangements have been made for participants at the International Yoga Festival, offering a pure, healthy, and balanced yoga-inspired diet. The diet plan, crafted with yoga and spirituality in mind, aims to provide participants with both physical and mental energy. The festival will serve balanced and nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including buttermilk, sprouted grains, porridge, parathas, dal, rice, green vegetables, fruits, herbal tea, and traditional sweets.

Swami Chidanand Muni Maharaj, the Supreme President of Parmarth Niketan, shared his wisdom, emphasizing that yoga simplifies life in an era where modern living has become increasingly challenging. He pointed out that contemporary lifestyles and growing demands are contributing to health issues, with obesity becoming a leading cause of disease. Swami Ji highlighted that this year’s arrangements at the festival are particularly attractive to both domestic and international practitioners and yoga gurus. He also noted that Rishikesh’s reputation as the “Yoga Capital of the World” continues to grow, and this year’s festival promises to be exceptionally special.
